I grew up in Mitchell, S.D., home of the World’s Only Corn Palace. It was there that I first fell in love with newspapers and the written word. In between my paper route deliveries, I’d pass the time reading the whole newspaper page by page, before carefully refolding the paper and tucking it into a mailbox. After earning my degree in journalism and mass communication at South Dakota State University, I traded the cornfields of the prairie for mountains and beaches and made Seattle my chosen hometown. The seafood here is amazing, but I still scoff at the idea of paying more than $3 for a dozen cobs of corn.

I have more than a decade of experience helping businesses manage their marketing, including blogging, reputation management, social media, and SEO. At IlluminAge I get to help tell stories that matter deeply to our clients, the people they serve, and their loved ones near and far. Digital marketing is fun to me because it’s always evolving. The platforms and tools are constantly changing, while the human need for connection and the foundations of quality communication remain the same.

Outside of work, you can find me with my face buried in a book, my hands full of yarn and thread, or exploring the Pacific Northwest with my husband and our two kids.
