I grew up writing. My mom would tell you that I started writing before I started walking. My first poem, simply titled “Grass,” was published on the wall of my kindergarten classroom. I have yet to achieve such critical acclaim for my poems written in adulthood.
When I wasn’t dreaming about becoming the next world-famous poet, I was writing books or creating neighborhood newspapers I’d send out to my family. I got my bachelor’s from Indiana University in journalism and got a job writing real newspaper articles for the local paper. Eventually I made way across the country to settle into Seattle and I started my digital marketing journey. In my nearly 5 years of marketing experience, I’ve had a hand in everything from copywriting to ads to SEO and even event planning!
I am a storyteller, no matter the medium. I believe stories are how we connect to one another, and each one is an opportunity to inspire, learn, and build understanding. At IlluminAge, I’m driven by a passion for learning and sharing as I help tell the stories that highlight the incredible work our clients do. Whether through words, strategy, or creativity, my goal is always to connect people to the information they need in a way that sparks action and makes a difference.
Outside of work I can almost always be found practicing salsa, riding my bike, or reading a book in a tent somewhere in the Olympics.
