I joined the IlluminAge team during the 2020 coronavirus quarantine, when many of our clients were being challenged in unprecedented ways. I’m wowed by their tireless commitment to the health and safety of the seniors and others in their care.

The seniors in my life have been some of my favorite people, and I’ve enjoyed doing volunteer work for nonprofits that serve seniors. I believe our culture needs to improve its treatment of elders, listen to them more, and honor their life experiences. I hope to be a senior myself, some day.

In my spare time I enjoy modern quilting, where you buy beautiful fabric, cut it up into a bunch of pieces, and then sew it all back together. I have several quilting PhDs (projects that are half done). A native of Chicago, I now live on an island in the Salish Sea with my husband and son. I still miss deep-dish pizza and flat bike rides.
